Common questions
Why do I need to review a meal before saving?
AI nutrition values are estimates. The review step keeps you in control of ingredients, weights, calories, and macros. Nothing is added to the diary until you confirm it.
Why is text or voice analysis unavailable?
Check your internet connection and confirm AI processing is enabled in Astyq Settings. Voice also requires microphone permission. Temporary service limits or an outage can prevent a request; your saved local diary remains available.
Does starting a new chat delete my diary?
No. A new chat clears the current conversation workspace only. Confirmed diary entries and daily progress remain unchanged.
Where is my diary?
The diary is stored inside the Astyq app container on your iPhone. Astyq does not offer account sync or server restore at launch. Deleting the app or using Delete Account and Data can permanently remove local information.
How do I delete my account and data?
- Open Astyq.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete Account and Data.
- Read the confirmation and confirm deletion.
The action deletes the Firebase guest account and then clears Astyq’s local diary, frequent meals, profile, settings, pending request, and Astyq-owned temporary files. Short-lived pseudonymous security records and required operational logs expire on the schedules in the Privacy Policy.
I cannot access the app to delete the guest account
Email privacy@getastyq.com. Because the account is anonymous and we do not have your email or local diary, we may need information available only in the app to locate or verify a request. We will explain the available steps.
Is Astyq medical advice?
No. Astyq is a food and nutrition logging tool. For diagnosis, treatment, allergy safety, or another medical need, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
